FIRST DISPATCH FROM RINL FORGED WHEEL PLANT

First dispatch of 51 nos Loco wheels flagged off to Lucknow Workshop, Indian Railways by Sri DK Mohanty, Director (Commercial & I/c Personnel) & Sri AK Saxena, Director (Operations), RINL on 22/12/2021 from Forged Wheel Plant (FWP) Lalganj, Raebareli, Uttar Pradesh.

Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd (RINL) has set up the said plant at a cost of around Rs 1,700 crore with a production capacity of one lakh pieces of forged wheels per annum.

Foreseeing the imported forged wheels requirement of Indian Railways, RINL came forward for producing & supplying forged wheels to Railways to meet their growing demand substituting the imports. Such self sufficiency would assure India of depending less on external supplies and saving cost on imports.
